ARaymond today announced a strategic reorganization of its U.S. and Canadian operations aimed at streamlining its organizational structure, enhancing agility, and strengthening its ability to meet evolving customer needs. This initiative also supports the company’s sustainability objectives, including reducing its carbon footprint.
As part of this plan, ARaymond will close its manufacturing facility in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and will open a new centralized distribution center in the Detroit metro area, in Lake Orion, Michigan.
“As a manufacturing company, we must continually reassess our footprint in response to evolving market forces - including supply chain dynamics and the broader geopolitical landscape,” said Pierluigi Testa, CEO ARaymond North America. “This realignment is an important step to help us stay resilient and forward-looking. It also allows us to invest in updated technologies and more sustainable infrastructure to better support our long-term strategy.”
As part of this transition, ARaymond will close its Flemingsburg, Kentucky plant.
To support employees during the transition, ARaymond will provide comprehensive assistance, including the provision of severance packages, and outplacement services.
“As a sixth-generation, family-owned business, we deeply regret closing this historic facility given the strong and valued relationships we have built with our employees and the Flemingsburg community,” said Ramesh Gaddam, CEO, ARaymond Fluid Handling North America, “We are grateful for the commitment of our team members and the support of the community and its leaders over the years.”
ARaymond also confirmed it will work collaboratively with local Teamsters representatives and other union partners to ensure a fair and respectful transition.
A cornerstone of the reorganization is the establishment of a new U.S. and Canadian distribution center in Lake Orion, Michigan. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026, the facility will serve as a centralized logistics hub. This move is expected to streamline and simplify pick-up processes, improve service to customers across both countries, and support more efficient supply chain operations.
“ARaymond remains financially strong and fully committed to North America,” added Testa “Despite the challenges facing our industry, these changes will strengthen our operations and reinforce our long-term dedication to serving our customers.”
